my sisters got a spoon up her nosI have been reading ‘My Sister’s Got A Spoon Up Her Nose’ , written by Jeremy Strong. It is a very humorous book, that made me laugh out loud when I read it. The illustrator is called Rowan Clifford.

As you probably guessed, it is bout a little girl, who gets a spoon stuck up her nose. Her family have to take her to the doctors and Dad finds a leaflet about something called The Three Mile Challenge. But this means beating Dad’s worst enemy, Mr Tugg! They have to run a mile, swim a mile and jump from over a mile high.

Dad is an extremely competitive man, but he can be very kind and caring when he needs to be and Mr Tugg is exactly the same as Dad. Thre isn’t rely a way to describe Nicholas (he little boy), he sot of changes from from one thing to anotherm he is always on Dad’s side though. Mum is the sensible one in the family, every one else is a bit silly really , especially Cheese and Tomato.

It is good the way it talks to the reader, and there is always something going on, so it keeps your interest all of the time. There are serious parts and funny parts, my favourite character is Tomato, because she is silly and makes me laugh. I love this book, however I would like it even more if it had a few more illustrations.

Overall, this is a great book to read, and I would definitely recommend it to other children.
